The front of the postcard features the "Die zehn Gebote für die Daheimgebliebenen" ("The ten commandments for those who stayed at home"). These were guidelines for the German home front during World War I. The card was printed by Holzer & Co in Jägerndorf and published by Johannes Kienel. It was sent to an Anna Siegel in Vienna. The handwritten note asks why Anna has not responded to previous cards.
